
As a scholarship athlete at Michigan State University, Kevin earned Student Athlete of the Year his freshman year. After four years at the Big 10 school, he graduated with a bachelor in science and business. The 3rd round NHL draft pick to Carolina Hurricanes, signed his professional contract. For almost a decade, Kevin played across North America and Europe. A plane crash left Kevin with long term injuries that proved too significant to continue playing at a high level.
He is now the owner of the world renowned catch and release guided fishing company, Sturgeon Slayers in British Columbia. Kevin has dedicated his energy to bringing awareness to the issues that impact the pre-historic fish and working on a high political level to make legislative changes to ensure sustainability. Sturgeon Slayers has been featured on National Geographic, BBC Earth, Discovery channel to name a few. Kevin has connected us with some of the great NHL players we have today as ambassadors to Onnit.
