Andrew Craig was born and raised in Houston, TX. He grew up with a brother 3 years older and was involved with sports from an early age. Like a lot from Texas, he did his share of hunting, fishing and pretty much anything outdoors. He graduated from Stratford High School in 2004 where he played football and pole vaulted.
Andrew attended the University of Texas at Austin where he majored in Corporate Communications. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon and an avid UT Football fan. It was during college where he first discovered Brazilian Jiu Jitsu through his cousin, Travis Tooke. Between school and wakeboarding, Andrew was also drawn to Muay Thai and boxing. After graduating in 2008, Andrew decided he to give MMA a try.
Back in Houston, Andrew rejoined Travis Tooke and began training full time with Jace Pitre heading up his striking. Andrew had his first amateur fight in 2009 and went 4-0 capping off his amateur career with a 185 lb title. In 2010, Andrew began fighting pro and strung together 6 wins, 2 titles and zero losses. After win number 6, it was off to the UFC where Andrew has gone 2-1 fighting in Australia, California and Brazil.
