While there are literally hundreds of ways to combine exercises, I prefer a “less is more” approach. Many times a simple superset can become far more taxing than a multi-station circuit, so in this finisher, we will only use the most basic wave on the ropes and the 2-Hand Kettlebell swing to chest height. You will alternate between the rope and the swings, with no rest in between while keeping the exercises as consistent and explosive as possible.
The Kettlebell & Battle Rope Seesaw Set
Start on the ropes, count each wave as a rep. Each set do 5 LESS reps. On each set of swings, do 5 MORE reps. The ropes will countdown. The swings will count up. Now pick your start point. It can be any multiple of 5 to 35 and upwards. Lets take 35 as our start point; your workout will go:
|BATTLE ROPE WAVES||KETTLEBELL SWINGS|
Simple eh? Starting at 40 is significantly harder than starting at 35. Try 50, maybe even go for 100. This is just one of the ways we incorporate battling ropes into our training, please try it and let me know how you Get Onnit!
