By practicing this drill you will establish one of the most fundamental types of backswings and therefore be ready for higher amplitude Steel Club swinging drills.

Exercise Steps

Step 1: Grasp the Stel Club with both hands aligned with your shins.

Step 2: Rotate your elbow pits forward to lock out the arms.

Step 3: Angle the Steel Club forward and down towards the floor as you sit your weight back.

Step 4: Pull the Steel Club back and angle it down behind you towards the floor as you sit again.

Step 5: Smooth out the transition between these two points keeping the Steel Club head as close to the floor as possible without touching. Repeat.
