The Sandbag Strength Overload Workout is a full body compound movement strength workout. If done as a standard strength workout the Sandbag Strength Overload Workout would work hypertrophy and max effort systems alone. By using this unique rep and rest scheme we are able to work aerobic and endurance systems simultaneously with strength, power and hypertrophy. While using the Sandbag Strength Overload Workout, your strength and muscle size will increase along with your conditioning using this highly effective workout.
Move through the each exercise of group A as quickly as possible. Rest as needed by try and complete 5 rounds as fast as possible. Round 1 the rep scheme looks like 10,9,8,7,6 and round 2 looks like 9,8,7,6,5. Record the total time it took to complete the workout and try and beat that time your next go around.
A1: Sandbag Shouldering – 5 rounds x 10,9,8,7,6 reps
A2: Sandbag Zercher Squat – 5 rounds x 9,8,7,6,5 reps
A3: Sandbag Clean From Floor – 5 rounds x 8,7,6,5,4 reps
A4: Sandbag Reverse Lunge with Twist – 5 rounds x 7,6,5,4,3 reps
A5: Sandbag Snatch From Floor – 5 rounds x 6,5,4,3,2 reps
